They took up stones to stone him. He replied, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone Me?” (John 10:32). The Pharisees explained that they were accusing Jesus of blasphemy for making Himself to be God when He was a man.

Christ observed, “If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me and I am in the Father” (John 10:37–38).

Jesus’s actions tell who He is. Those who know Him hear His voice and follow Him as the good Shepherd. Christ also taught, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His [God’s] will, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority” (John 7:16–17).
