Romans 7:6-7, “But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, ‘You shall not covet.’” [The Ten Commandments are in the Law.]
Galatians 3:1-2, “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
Galatians 3:10-12, “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.’ But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for ‘the just shall live by faith.’ Yet the law is not of faith, but ‘the man who does them shall live by them.’” Yet, Romans 3:27 does speak of a law, “Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.”
Galatians 3:17, “And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.”
Galatians 3:24-25, “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.”
Galatians 4:9-10, “But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? You observe days and months and seasons and years.”
Galatians 4:21-24, 30-31, “Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar…Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? ‘Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.’ So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.”
Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
Galatians 5:7, “You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?”
Galatians 5:14, “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Galatians 6:13, “For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.”
1st of all, I’m sorry for the tone that I have used at times, & I hope that you can forgive me enough to get a truthful revelation from me should it surface.
Even though the 10 Commandments are very glorious, the ministration of the Spirit is more glorious than God’s writings in stone. Stone tablets, Noah’s Ark, even the Bible is not as miraculous as someone’s testimony on how God transformed them by the power of the Holy Spirit.
But how do you know someone is transformed by the power of the Spirit? Well, their actions must be consistent with Scripture. Let me know if you see that believers to keep the same system as before except for 2 main items:
1 – Jesus is the Lamb that replaced fleshly sacrifice
2 – & that the Holy Spirit now empowers us to keep from disobedience
Again, I apologize for times that I responded impatiently, & I’m praying for you & yours.

Alden,
I don’t remember any offensive spirit. I know you are passionate and convicted. We all need to continually work on our approach toward others. If I thought your words were too harsh or malicious, I would have deleted the comment. I hope this challenges you. May I suggest that challenge one another to reconsider our position in light of the words of Christ.
You have spoken of Christ for which I certainly agree. The Spirit does empower us. Yet, how? I am convinced after diligent study of every scripture that I have searched in multiple ways on the Spirit that the Spirit empowers us to overcome sin not by personal revelation revealed from with, but from revelation made personal by taking the Spirit’s revelation into my inward man and mind. See more about being filled with the Spirit and the indwelling in my article. You are very welcome to further discuss that. See my article about the indwelling and transformation of the Spirit in “How to Be Filled with the Holy Spirit“.

The Law of Sin & Death originates in Leviticus 18:5 with the way to achieve life (righteousness) was by doing the Law. Notice Romans 10:5, Galatians 3:12, quote Leviticus 18:5. Jesus ends the Law for righteousness (or right-doing), yet the Holy Spirit powers believers to keep God’s commandments by faith in Christ. The 10 Commandments is not The Law of Sin & Death, & if you think that, pray first, & allow me to show you through Bible study.

Remember that the 10 commands are written on the stone tablets. “But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,” (2 Cor. 3:7).

Not! The Holy Spirit ministers the same advise to not commit adultery, to do right, & to rest on the Sabbath. Jesus is the ticket, but it is up to the Holy Spirit to take the same information that was always preached (from Adam) &…
1) Romans 8:1-14 – delivers (empowers) us from the lust of the flesh
2) Colossians 2:12 – performs the “operation” of God
3) Romans 2:29 – circumizes the heart
4) Jeremiah 31:33 – write God’s Laws in our inward parts
5) Hebrews 8:10 – put (write) God’s Laws into hearts & minds
6) 2 Corinthians 3:8 – writes those epistles on the heart
Which is more glorious? …the 10 Commandments written in stone? …or those same epistles written on the heart? Hint – It is a supernatural miracle to be a living epistle that is walking around ministering by the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:8, what makes you think that the “ministration of the Spirit” gives different commandments than what was written?

Yes. The ministration of the Spirit is more glorious than the ministry of death. Jesus expanded on the Mosaical Law in Matthew 5 as you are aware. Jesus expanded on divorce and remarriage in Matthew 19 regarding the twisting of Deuteronomy 24. Jesus said that He would send His Spirit to teach the Apostles more (John 16:12-13) implying the unique teachings of Christ and His Apostles. Clearly, there are different commands. The NT is of better things as the Book of Hebrews teaches. Now, I add all of the New Testament to commands expanded unlike that of the Law to Israel. The Sabbath is now the place of eternal rest (Heb. 3-4).
