When does a day begin and end? Some have said that society decides when a day begins and ends, so for the U.S. that would be midnight. Others like the Jews hold the Talmud’s position that a day begins and ends at sunset. Some have said that it really does not matter.
When considering the day that God raised Christ, many have wondered on what day the Romans crucified Christ, what day did God raise Him, and at what time of the day was Jesus resurrected. The day of assembly is the day of Christ’s resurrection. However. some infer that Saturday night is the beginning of the first day of the week reasoning that a day begins and ends at sunset. This infers that those assembling and partaking of the Lord’s Supper on Sunday evening are actually meeting on the second day of the week. Luke reported, “And upon the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, intending to depart on the morrow; and prolonged his speech until midnight” (Acts 20:7 ASV). Which evening is the first day of the week? This study will examine these inferences made upon Scripture.
The following Scriptures present that a day begins at sunrise:
- Matthew 28:1 reveals, “Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre” (ASV 1901, emp. added).
- Mark 16:1–2 depicts, “And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, they come to the tomb when the sun was risen.”
- How could it be “very early” if the day started at sunset or midnight?
Genesis 1 shows that the day consisting of day and night is one that starts at sunrise.
- Genesis 1:5 reports, “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day” (cf. Gen 1:8, 13, 19, 23, 31).
- The Hebrew word for morning is boqer, which means “sunrise,” “end of night,” “coming of daylight,” and “beginning of day.” Therefore, the order of the day consists of sunset and sunrise as the scripture says, “And there was evening (sunset) and there was morning (sunrise), one day.” Sunrise started a new day. Each day consisted of an evening and then a morning. The complete day does not end at sunset or midnight, but the day started at dawn in the beginning. That is the biblical day from Genesis.
These passages confirm the day starts before sunset when a day goes on through sunset into the evening:
- Matthew 26:17 notes, “Now on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, ‘Where will you that we make ready for you to eat the Passover?’” (cf. Mark 14:12).
- This is the first day of unleavened bread when Jesus sent Peter and John to prepare for the Passover although Israel roasted the Passover lamb at twilight and ate it in the night. As in the Old Testament, the first day of the Passover Feast included the day and the preceding evening as the disciples came to the guest room on the first day of Passover before twilight — that is before sunset.
- Mark 4:35 depicts, “And on that day, when evening was come, he said unto them, ‘Let us go over unto the other side.'”
- Again, the evening followed daylight of that day.
- John 20:19 tells, “When therefore it was evening [nightfall, Greek: opsios], on that day, the first day of the week, and when thedoorswere shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said unto them, ‘Peace be unto you.'”
- “On that day” is referring to the day when Christ rose on the morning of the first day of the week and now it is the same day called “evening.” According to this passage, the first day of the week was the day and then the night.
Did not Mary Magdalene come unto Jesus’s tomb on the first day of the week when it was dark according to John 20:1?
- John 20:1 states, “Now on the first day of the week comes Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and sees the stone taken away from the tomb.”
- If it was dark without the sun raised, then John 20:1 would disprove or present another understanding that a day starts on another time other than sunrise in contradiction to the scriptures above. However, John 20:19 states, “When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said unto them, ‘Peace be unto you.'” How could it be evening on the first day of the week, the very day that Jesus rose, if a day started at sunset and the day would have changed? Furthermore, Luke 24:1 depicted that the women came at early dawn, so though it was dark though it was not night. In mountainous areas, the sun can dawn and there is still darkness in the vales where the elevations block the sun’s light in some places. This is especially true where people have carved a tomb from rock. Darkness after dawn is evidently possible, and reasonable to those of who go out early.
Did not all Jews at this time believe that day was from sunset to sunset?
- No. The idea that a day was sunset to sunset came from man’s tradition and thinking based upon Leviticus 23:32 where the Day of Atonement was held on the tenth day of the seventh month, but the Sabbath began on the ninth because the Sabbath was kept on this occasion from evening unto evening. Even in this passage from Leviticus, one can easily notice the reference to two different days, the ninth day and the tenth day of the month. Leviticus 23:32 speaks of the sunset of the ninth day being the time to start the Sabbath for the tenth day. Evidently, a day did not start at sunset and this was a special occasion of simply keeping the high sabbath for the Day of Atonement. The regular Mosaic day began with the rise of day through the setting of the evening (Gen 1: Exod 12:18; 18:13: Lev 6:20).

When the Almighty opened my eyes, I saw that the “Old Testament” describes a very different way of life than the “New Testament.” Think about it: the NT has a different day of worship, different holidays and a different “hero” or focus of worship. In the OT, the seventh day is mentioned over 120 times! The first commandment is mentioned over 400 times! Odd that the NT does not follow this pattern. Think of Islam: different weekly day (Friday), different holidays (Ramadan) and different hero (Mohammed). I know Christians and Muslims both claim to worship the Almighty but they devote themselves to the heroes of their “holy” books. Let’s just call christianity what it is: a different religion. You like it better? Fine. It isn’t the “religion” of the first book. It far too severely alters the basic premises of Torah to supersede it. Shabbat is the rest at the week’s end. Work ends when light ceases. Your rest begins when work ends, not when you wake up with the dawn. That rest continues saturday morning because the seventh day is one seventh of the week. It is one whole day off for you, the people who work for you and even your beasts of burden if you have any. King David loved the law that the NT calls a ‘ministry of death’. How can that be? It can’t. Go ahead, worship the man from Galilee but don’t tell me you’re obeying the Torah. Don’t use the book I am questioning to affirm itself. Don’t claim Isa 53 proves anything because that same chapter disqualifies your “savior.” Yah is ONE, not two and NOT three. Calling the “tri”nity “mono”theism has to be the supreme con of the last two millennia. Our nation, including christians suffer all the promised curses: the diseases of Egypt, birth defects, infertility, borders over run with aliens, thieves and swindlers everywhere, and now a savage nation from the other side of the earth prays to die killing us. We have crooked judges, deceitful leaders, heathen fools forcing immorality down our throats, even corrupting our children with insane lies. This nation and christians are cursed. It isn’t going to get better. Open your bible and start reading on page 1. Read it for what it says, not to confirm the greek book. May the creator of heaven and earth open your eyes and be merciful to you.
I believe in the Christianity of the Christian scriptures, which you are clearly not familiar with.
Explain: the Jewish Publication Society Bible translates Isaiah 48:16, “Come ye near unto Me, hear ye this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord GOD hath sent me, and His spirit.” Who is “Me” sent from God (Yah) and “His spirit”?
Also see “Keys to Identifying Israel’s Messiah”.
To take a verse and say “this must be Jeus” is exactly your’re problem. Read it for what it says rather than forcing it to fit your conclusion. Jeus can’t be the savior, he did not complete the mission. Do you realize why the children of Israel were removed? Idolatry was the main reason. That sin is mentioned over 400 times. Why doesn’t the greek book talk about idolatry? Because it has it’s own god, a different god who claims to be the son of the first God. This is why christians bend WAY over backwards to formulate extremely unlikely, convoluted scenarios to prove Jeus is the one: Because Jeus is their god! They are making the same mistake. They prefer to use saturday for their own activities. Ever wonder why there are 1000’s of chrstn denominations? Because the nt is intentionally vague and ambiguous. I was raised a chrstn and spent years chasing my tail trying to make sense out of that book – that greek book with all its exorcisms and demons. Why don’t we see exorcisms in the OT? We don’t. Why? Here’s why::
De 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he; there is no god besides me. I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and no one can deliver from my hand.
Isa 45:7 I form light and create darkness, I make weal and create woe; I YHVH do all these things.
The Almighty curses for disobedience. Sorry. I know your different religion doesn’t agree with that portrayal. The greek book came up with an all powerful, invisible being at war with Yah to explain away curses for disobedience. Recall that Satan had to ask TWICE to punish Job. If the adversary is punishing, he is doing it under the direction of the ONE creator of heaven and earth. I understand chrstnty completely. I also understand Isa 6: Divinely imposed blindness upon whom? Upon the idolaters, not upon the Jews. However misguided the pharisees were, they weren’t worshiping other gods as those described in Isa 6. How dare Jeus, a false god, misrepresent the prophets! The motivation is clear: to deceive. Here is Yah’s response to you:
Eze 20:39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord GOD: Go serve your idols, everyone of you now and hereafter, if you will not listen to me; but my holy name you
shall no more profane with your gifts and your idols.
Why did you not explain Isaiah 48:16, “Come ye near unto Me, hear ye this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord GOD hath sent me, and His spirit”? How does David write that Yahwah speaks to his lord, “The LORD saith unto my lord: ‘Sit thou at My right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool'” who is “a priest for ever after the manner of Melchizedek” (Psa. 110)? Who is David’s lord, a priest (of patriarchs to Abraham) forever, besides Yahwah? How does Isaiah write of a child being born who is God? Isaiah 9:6-7 (JPS) says, “For a child is born unto us, a son is given unto us; and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name is called Pele- joez-el-gibbor [Mighty God]-Abi-ad-sar-shalom [Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace]; That the government may be increased, and of peace there be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it through justice and through righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts doth perform this.” How does Isaiah 42 speaks of God’s elect of whom God’s Spirit is put upon him (Isa. 42), who is not Israel, of Jacob (Isa. 49:6)? How is this man “a covenant” (Isa. 42:6)?
You do not understand Christianity or the Messiah. How did Jesus predict the destruction of the Temple? How is it that you have no Temple and do not keep the Torah? The prophets bear witness of the Messiah for which Jesus matches in every detail. God bore witness through Jesus by His miracles. Moses bore witness of the Prophet Jesus. John the Baptist bore witness of Jesus, and the Jews accepted John as a prophet. Multitudes received Jesus as John prepared the way. These things you cannot deny. The witnesses prove true that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus testified clearly in John 5. All the gospels testify by witness in those affidavits of who Jesus is. These you cannot refute not find false witness. If the witnesses are true, then so is their testimony.
“Why doesn’t the greek book talk about idolatry?” It does many times (1 Cor. 10, etc.).
What about the end of days.. When the Sabbath must be kept.. is that not a commandment, for someone who does not follow the commandments would not know when the Sabbath is,.and that is a problem. Keep the commandment close. they were given to us for a reason, As was Jesus given to us, to save us. to give wash away are sins.. if i know anything i know this Jesus can read are heart and mainly are souls, He knows when we are trying to cut corner. And will show in the end. if you ask anybody today more then half wont know what the commandment are. SAD.. they only know of Jesus, not his work nor his word and his promises… Anyways i believe we need the commandment more today then ever, everyone is running wild… Jesus is coing back to judge us those who kept the commandment clean and unstained, And mostly of those who believe in him as their savior. No shortcuts people he know all. THANK YOU GOD BLESS.
Hi everyone.
Just a quick one for now and later I will send you a detailed message about the 10 Commands which is written with the finger of God and not by the hands of Moses…
Scott :
I use to believe like you did but until 3 years ago the Father opened my eyes to His scripture and not to just one part of it but the whole scripture. There is the 10 Commands written by the Fathers finger, engraved on the two tablets of stone, front and back, and then you get the Torah, also known as “Law” which is the the right rulings and instructions on how to live. The tablets of stone is placed inside the ark of the covenant and the Torah is placed beside it – DEUT. 31:24-26
The Torah is NOT the first five books but only the right rulings and instructions which Israel could only guard when they get into the promise land.
As you will see in my follow detailed message the Torah/Law was only written for Israel, the 12 tribes of which the Jews are 1 of the 12 and not the only tribe, and Israel alone. Only they could guard, not obey, the Torah/Law if they where in the promise land, but the 10 Commands stands forever and ever and is for all mankind. “Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind!”
Scott you can think for yourself… The only reason this world is in madness is because 99% of the world is not obeying His 10 Commands. If the world did so then we would not have murder, adultery, porn, rape, theft, greed, jealousy, pagan worshipping and no tiredness. Nobody saying after the weekend: “I feel so tired today and I had no rest this weekend.” Sounds familiar???
America has over 2.1 million laws Vs. the Fathers only 10 Commands… Which one is lighter Scott?
You see the Sabbath is a day of rest. HE is giving us six days out of the seven to do OUR work and HE is only asking for one day for HIMSELF. The Sabbath is not just a day of complete rest but its the day where you do the Father work, like visiting the poor, the elders, the orphans, the widows and the sick just as the Messiah/Jesus did.
Scott the Sabbath is the ultimate blessing and its sad that the world doesn’t take advantage of it.
Alden and Jay:
Scott is right about when the day starts. I also thought the day starts at sunsets, but after studding the whole scripture it is obvious that the day starts at sunrise and not sunset.
According to scripture a day contains out of the following four parts: Light-day, darkness-night, evening and morning. So lets ago to the beginning:
Gen./Ber.1:3-5
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
As you can read in verse three went the Father said let there be light, the light was there immediately on the Fathers command. HE did not speak and then the light appeared “12 hours” later. If so the light would’ve been disobedient to the Fathers voice.
Light-day is when the sun shines.
Darkness-night is when there is no more light.
Evening is mixture of light and darkness, after the sunset.
Morning is mixture of light and darkness, before the sunrise.
So to bring it all together: Its first the day, then evening, then night and then morning. You can not have evening without the light. You can think for yourself when the Father said: “Let there be light!!!” and then some dim light appeared…
The key to understand this is that you need to know that is was the creation week. So when the Father said let there be light-day, right there on that moment was the start of HIS creation.
I will pray for you my brother so that the Father open your eyes as HE did mine.
May peace, love and compassion be with you all.
Your brother in service to the Messiah,
Jacques

Keep God’s commands. Yes. Should the world be following god’s commands? Certainly. I keep the commands from the Law affirmed by Christ and even fulfilled as seen Matthew 5-7. Yet, the Law without Christ reveals righteousness, but also produces death. “I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died” (Rom. 7:9). “unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away” (2 Cor. 3:13-16). Even more to consider, the ministry of death on the tablets is passing away. The tablets are contrasted to Christ, and not united to His ministry. Yet, we find the Law fulfilled in loving God and loving our neighbors (Rom. 13, Jas. 1, etc). I find Christ’s fulfillment of the Law, and new commands like the Assembly to eat the Lord’s Supper (1 Cor. 1:17ff). “But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.”
Thank you for verifying the beginning of days. I have no personally persuasion either way, and this is simply what I found.
I challenge all to consider the saving gospel of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:1-4). We are freed from sin by dying to our sins, being baptized in burial into Christ’s death, and being raised to a newness of life (Rom. 6:3-7). We must all start here by faith in Christ (Gal. 3:26-27).
Remember hes talking about the 10 Commandments.
Luke 10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luke 10:26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
10 Commandments. They show you how to love God and your neighbor.
I am not SDA. NO way. Cant stand that church. Jesus fullfilment is he died for our sins not to destroy the law. No contradiction. Did destroy is your words no Christs.
K lets take this one at a time.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven
Now what does this scripture say about the law? Hes talking about the 10 commandments. Just address this one scripture. Paul did not destroy what Jesus said.
You quote Jesus saying, “Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” and yet you say, “Yes the ordinances of the old temple are gone. The old sacrifices the old priest system”. That’s a clear contradiction. Also, note the following words of Jesus when He improved on these commands in Matthew 5. He did destroy but fulfilled, and when fulfilled, then it will pass away.
Serve Ellen White or Jesus Christ? You cannot serve both God and demons. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth” (1 Tim. 4:1ff).
I showed you the proof that Gods 10 Commandments are from beginning to end. Did you even read my Post and the Scriptures I provided? There is no discussion on the subject. I showed you bulletproof evidence from the WORD OF THE ALMIGHTY!!!!!!!!!. If you did you have an uncanny way of ignoring the TRUTH!!! Just keep your head in the sand and see where it gets you. Yes the ordinances of the old temple are gone. The old sacrifices the old priest system, This is what your other scriptures are saying. You dont understand the bible. Jesus is our atoning sacrifice, our passover. There is no other way to the father but through him. But we are to walk after GODS Commandments. This is the goal!! DO the things that are pleasing in his site. As far as Col 2;16 read this.
The reason you just dont want to accept Gods 10 Comandments is you dont want to obey the fourth one. That is the Truth!!! and you know it. Just keep livin the lie my man.
“Yes the ordinances of the old temple are gone. The old sacrifices the old priest system, This is what your other scriptures are saying. You dont understand the bible. Jesus is our atoning sacrifice, our passover.”
What are you saying? You don’t accept Christ’s sabbath in Hebrews 4:9 and you want to keep the sabbath of Moses’ law? Can you be justified by the Law of Moses or the 10 commands? “[K]nowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified” (Gal. 2:16). Are not the 10 commands in the Law of Moses? Did not Christ’s Spirit establish the moral teachings of the 10 commands in loving each other? Yet, where did Jesus command to observe the Sabbath? Jesus commanded that we keep all His commands (Matt. 28:20), and the sabbath was never one of them.
If one makes a tradition out of the laws written on stone, then that person has made a tradition of man and is adding to what Christ made perfect. If one took God’s instructions to Abraham to sacrifice his son and applied this today symbolically or actually to believers today, then that is still a tradition of men. If one accepts keeping the sabbath from the Law of Moses, then that person is trying to be justified in the law making the sabbath a tradition of man rather than obeying God’s commands in the faith of Christ.
“But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor” (Gal. 3:23-25).
You should be able to see these things unless you of those of whom God said, “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed” (Isaiah 6:10).
Should not obey the 10 Commandments!!!!!! Are you kidding. You have not a clue about scripture friend. The law was not nailed to the cross…..SIN was nailed to the cross. K School time.
Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Ok Jesus did not destroy the law. Your DONE with this alone. Want i have a million more. lol
Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Matthew 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Matthew 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (Uh Oh!!!! 10 Commandments still in effect, but you can call Jesus a liar if you want. lmao)
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
St. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
St. John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
St. John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
St. John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
St. John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
Epistle to Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Epistle to Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (All 10 Commandments still in effect!!! I mean really I have to tell you that you must not read the Bible to not know this. Get a clue!!! and your a minister of Gods word!!!!!! You must be joking!!!)
1st Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. (Plain as you can get)
1st John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1st John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (You are a LIAR. By this scripture alone)
1st John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1st John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1st John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (Ahhhh now we get to the point. Gods Commandments are very grievous for you arent they. Lord REBUKE you for denying his Commandments!!!)
2nd John 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
2nd John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
(Commandment the same today as in the days of old)
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Guess this doesnt include you does it.)
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (You may have the right to enter the city if you what?? UH OOH!!! And you want to deny Gods Commandments and say they are destroyed. Wooooe to you my man.)
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
In conclusion the commandments of God are from beginning to the end and are always a part of life and should be taught. The commandments show how to love God and your neighbor as yourself. May God forgive you for your denial of his Commandments. You my friend are a JOKE!!! and not a good one. OUT!!
Are you honest enough to reconsider what the scriptures say? I follow the commands in the Law of Christ. I recognize the moral law and good of the law of Moses. I follow Christ and not Moses. I don’t question the moral law through Moses unto Christ.
Jesus fulfilled the Law. Do you worship in the temple? Or practice the circumcision of the Law of Moses? Do you offer sacrifices of atonement or of thanksgiving? Do you have Levites as priests? Jesus fulfilled these. He is high priest not after Levi but Melchizedek (Heb. 7). The sabbath is our rest with God (Heb. 4:9). All is fulfilled in Christ (Rom. 13:8-10, Gal. 5:14). That which was physical is now spirit. There is now the atoning sacrifice is Christ, the spiritual temple being the Church (1 Pet. 2:5, 1 Cor. 3, 2 Cor. 6, etc.), the spiritual sacrifices being good works (1 Pet. 2:5), Christians being the priests (1 Pet. 2:5, Rev. 1:6), and incense being now our prayers (Rev. 5:8).
“But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?” (2 Cor. 3:7-8).
Romans 8:2, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ” (Col. 2:16-17).
“In that He says, ‘A new covenant,’ He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.” (Heb. 8:13).
May God bless us in the study of His Word.
