Hello,
Welcome to considering what to expect from the abortion services of the Florida Women’s Center. An abortion may be more than you expect. If you or someone that you know has doubts, see more about “Fetal Development” from MedlinePlus’s Medical Encyclopedia, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
The termination of a pregnancy is the termination of a human being, who has a heartbeat, brainwaves, and a uniquely personal genetic code. The human fetus is not a lump of tissue, but a human life. The value of our lives does not change because of one’s appearance, one’s physical development, or one’s mental development.
The Florida Women’s Center uses only one surgical procedure called, “Dilation and Evacuation” (“FAQs.” Florida Women’s Center, Inc. 22 August 2012.). The procedure evacuates the uterus of a human being while shredding tissue, dismembering, and crushing bone. Human life will cease by these cruel and inhumane procedures.
Is not having the child and giving the child a home by adoption better than an abortion? How can such procedures be acceptable to treat another human being with such cruelty? Please, confirm these facts and feel free to ask abortion providers about what happens to a human fetus during an abortion. Ask if this human being will be dismembered or crushed. Ask them about the fetus’s heartbeat, brainwaves, unique genetic code, and development. Do you not have the right to know what is going to happen?
Women seeking to “terminate a pregnancy” are actually facing a woman’s choice to give her child life or death. Consider adoption. Consider anything other than abortion. Why give into to such evil? Do not do something that you will very likely regret for the rest of your life. It may seem hard, but no matter the life situation you are in and whatever tough times you may be facing, you can make the moral decision to save the life of your child. Do not expect clinics like “The Florida Women’s Center, Inc.”, who profit from abortions, to mention the violence of an abortion or any psychological trauma that a woman may undergo.
Some looking into this clinic may be Christians, please reconsider. Truly, pregnant women are already mothers of her unborn child. While Jesus was in the womb, Mary was already “the mother of the Lord” (Luke 1:42). This unborn human being is already a child. See, Elizabeth “conceived a son” in her womb, who “leaped in the womb” upon hearing Mary’s voice (Luke 1:35–45). Think deeply about how God made you. His Spirit says,
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well” (Ps 139:13–14).
What if these are the words of your child? Listen to Jesus Christ.
“And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, ‘Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great‘” (Luke 9:47-48, cf. Mark 9:36-37).
May God help us all to value life,
Scott Shifferd, minister, Dean Road church of Christ, Jacksonville, FL
So, you think that a mass of cells incapable of independent existence are a human being? One can only wonder at the idiocy of that statement. It simply isn’t. More importantly, while you are entitled to hold any silly idea you want, your attempts to force your misguided moral decisions on others by legislation or even suggestion is contemptible.
A fetus is not a human. You may think differently but you are wrong and you should stop lying to people about it. It’s laughable that you want to tell people how to live when you do so much evil yourself.

You’re asserting contrary to medical science that a human fetus with heartbeat, brainwaves, and individual DNA is not a human and therefore not a person?
“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good” (Psa. 14:1).

And since the baby is connected to the mother, the mother is not only mutilating her baby, she is mutilating herself. That’s why abortions are often very painful. And rather than providing women with “freedom” it often does the opposite: instead of the father facing the obligations and responsibilities of being a father, the whole burden is placed on the mother who is told that she has the “option” of abortion–and she is often made to feel selfish or guilty if she chooses to have her baby.

Yes. From one report I read, many women are coerced (64%) or at least pressured (84%) into aborting their child. What choice is that?
It is a wonder to me that the procedure does not hurt many more women.
